Premier room

Named after Lt. Col. Sir Francis Edward Younghusband, a famous explorer, writer, and British Army officer known for his travels in Asia. This room has everything you need to feel comfortable in the mountains. It provides 273 square feet of space that opens right onto a lawn with a place to sit outside to feel the mountain air and atmosphere.

Sir Francis Premier Room

Our Clara Heritage Family Suite, named after Mrs. Clara Shaw Younghusband, pays tribute to the early British settlers who played a pivotal role in the development of the Dharamshala region's tea industry during the 18th-century . The suite spans 661 sq. ft. and comfortably accommodates families or groups of up to 4 guests with its two bedrooms. One room has one king-size bed and the other, twin beds. This comes with one bathroom, a sitting area, and a separate dining room. The woodwork, furnishings, fine linens, vintage wallpaper, wooden flooring and artwork will remind you of a time gone by, a time when the world around the suite was a very different place. From here you can step out into the lawn or the sit-out areas to get some time with the nature of the mountains. The Clara Heritage Family Suite, with space for friends and family you want to make memories with.

Lennox Executive Room

The Lennox Executive Room is named after Napier Lennox, known for his work with the tea plantations in Gopalpur. This room covers 332 square feet and watches over the valley from its lawn. The vintage wallpaper and wooden floors add a touch of old-world charm. Inside, you'll find a king-sized bed to ensure you sleep well while you’re here and cosy seating areas for relaxing during the mountain’s chill. The room's calming colours create a soothing atmosphere, making you feel welcomed and warm.

Jameson Executive Room

If you like your morning tea with a view of the gardens where it’s cultivated, this is the perfect room. The Jameson Executive Suite honours William Jameson, a former owner of Brij Anayra. Spread across 370 square feet, you'll find a king-sized bed, areas to sit and unwind, desks for any work you might be doing, ‘from home’. Just outside, there's a lovely area to sit and enjoy views of the lush tea gardens. It's an ideal place to relax and enjoy the quiet. If you're here with family or friends, we also have suites that connect making it easy for larger groups to stay close.

Barkley Executive Suite

Looking at mountains can lift your spirits, and that's exactly what you get with our Barkley Suite, named after the explorer Robert Barkley Shaw. With its 331 square feet, you get space and a window to the breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range. The wooden floors and the vintage wallpaper make you feel as if you’ve gone back in time.

Hayward Executive Suite

Sometimes, all you need is a bit of privacy, beautiful views and 425 sq.ft. of the Hayward Executive Suite. It comes with a private deck where you can sit outside, look over the green lawns, and enjoy a beautiful view of the valley. If you're the type who packs two bags for a two-day trip, the Shaw Executive suite is your match. With 653 square feet of room to spread out. Perfect for anyone who loves having plenty of space. Plus, the Suite next door can connect to it, giving you even more room if you need. There's also a lovely outdoor area for you to relax and take in the beautiful views of the tea gardens.

Strutt Deluxe Suite

The 318 sq.ft. Strutt Deluxe Suite, gives you views like the ones in Major Charles Henry Strutt's famous paintings. If you're coming with a larger group, whether it's family or friends, this suite is ideal. This suite can connect with the one next door, so everyone can stay close. There's also a private area outside for you to enjoy, where you can sit back and admire the lush green lawns or paint them if you like.

Dalhousie Heritage Suite

After a full day of exploring the city, what could be better than a relaxing soak, some quiet time, and a cup of tea with a view? Imagine looking out over the gardens where your tea was picked, with mountains in the distance from your private sit-out deck. That's what awaits you in the Dalhousie Suite. Named after Lord Dalhousie, this suite covers 690 square feet with beautiful wooden ceilings, a fireplace to keep you warm while you relax with a book and king-sized bed because that’s what a viceroy would like.

Canning Heritage Suite

Named after Lord Canning, the first Viceroy of India, this 548 square foot suite provides a separate dining and sitting area, a cosy day bed, a king size bed for the night and a private sit-out for you to enjoy the hills and the mountain air.

Mayo Heritage Suite

The suite, named after Lord Mayo, the renowned viceroy of British India who led the expansion and modernization of the Indian railway system, a pivotal development that helped accelerate our country's economic growth. With 583 square feet, the suite boasts of a king-sized bed, a cosy day bed, separate sitting and dining areas, a private outdoor space where you can enjoy the mountains and the wonder they bring. While the mountain inspires, the suite sets up the perfect atmosphere to put your thoughts together. That’s why the writing desk, a feature that is so integral to this room. And at the end of your day you can slip into your bathtub and wash off all that isn’t needed, one bubble at a time.

Elgin Heritage Suite

The Elgin Heritage Suite, named after Lord Elgin, the Viceroy of India from 1862 to 1863, during his brief tenure, he focused on improving infrastructure, including railways and telegraph lines. The 584 square feet space is surrounded by expansive lawns that give you a sense of you in a sense of being enveloped by the mountains. A king-sized bed, separate sitting and dining areas and daybed the suite allows you to rest, cutting you off from the world or open to all that the atmosphere has to offer. The private outdoor space gives you a chance to enjoy the mountain view with your loved ones. We don’t encourage you to bring your work, but if you have to, or you just need to pen your thoughts, a writing desk has been thoughtfully included for your stay.
